Central to this picturesque setting is Haitu Farm, a 300-mu (20 hectares) oasis that has transformed over the past six years from a barren hill into a thriving hub for seasonal fruit and vegetable picking and camping.
In spring, the farm's expansive 200-mu sea of rapeseed flowers blankets the lakeside in vibrant yellow. As autumn arrives, the focus shifts to the abundant harvest and the refreshing breezes that sweep across the lake.
The farm's picking area offers a bounty of sweet potatoes and radishes, while the greenhouse produce reaches its peak. Dedicated to organic farming, the farm avoids using pesticides. "The vegetable varieties we've introduced are more tender than typical ones," says the farm manager.
