Over 30 international students from the Marine Robotics Summer School, jointly organized by Dongfeng Motor and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, visited Dongfeng for a study tour on Aug 22. The participants came from overseas universities including the University of Edinburgh, the University of Birmingham, and RWTH Aachen University.
Dongfeng Motor welcomed over 80 international students across three study groups this summer. The study tour included visits to two major destinations: the Dongfeng Global Innovation Center and the MHero vehicle division.
At the global innovation center, students were introduced to self-developed technologies such as the Tianyuan electronic and electrical architecture, the Tianyuan smart cabin, the Mach hybrid engine, solid-state batteries, and hydrogen energy power systems.
The MHero division featured the first transparent factory among auto companies in Hubei province, as well as an off-road testing track. Study participants experienced the cockpit interaction of the MHero M817 and M917 and witnessed the M917’s off-road performance firsthand at the off-road experience park.
Brady, a student at the University of Edinburgh, noted that he had previously only known about Dongfeng's commercial vehicles and was impressed to learn about cutting-edge technologies like hydrogen energy during the visit.
