Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) held an event focusing on collaboration between the automotive industry and industrial software sectors on July 17.
The gathering brought together over 60 representatives from automotive supply chain companies, industrial software providers, and banking institutions to explore the integration of industrial software and digital transformation.
Experts provided an analysis of relevant policies, highlighting the allocation of 50 million yuan ($7.38 million) annually from the provincial manufacturing high-quality development fund that offers up to 2 million yuan in subsidies for manufacturing enterprises purchasing industrial software products.
Detailed explanations of policy support, application requirements, and standards were also shared to ensure that businesses can benefit and reduce their digital transformation costs.
Companies such as Yipai Technology and INNO Sensing discussed their industrial software application needs and challenges. Meanwhile, software companies like Neusoft Group and Kingdom Automation presented innovative solutions in areas such as smart manufacturing, AI quality inspection, and digital twins.
WEDZ has been working to develop industrial software and to integrate software technology with manufacturing processes. The zone has attracted over 100 industrial software and information service enterprises, covering the entire value chain from R&D and design to production control, operational management, and maintenance services.
Dongyan Intelligence Design Institute Co offers comprehensive smart manufacturing solutions across 12 systems, while Meritar Supply Chain Co provides a complete software suite ranging from order management to warehouse logistics control.
A local official said that authorities will continue to implement measures such as policy interpretation, technical exchanges, and supply-demand matchmaking activities, while also making efforts to improve computing infrastructure, support scientific innovation, and develop talent to promote the manufacturing sector's digital transformation.
