Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) launched a series of cultural activities on June 27 to drive the zone's nighttime economy, with a lively array of performances, including dances, solo acts, and interactive safety programs, entertaining and educating among resonating laughter and applause.

The event also showcased five themed markets, each offering unique experiences. The air was filled with the enticing aroma of specialty snacks, while stalls displayed traditional crafts such as sugar figurines and paper-cutting, as well as handcrafted items such as sachets, which were particularly popular.

"The increasing number of activities here has made the commercial street more bustling and life more convenient," said Ms Wang, a resident who attended the event with her family.

Mr Li, a retired resident, has witnessed Junshan New City's transformation from farmland to a bustling urban hub, with the Chuntaili commercial street home to over 30 businesses, including well-known brands and a cinema.

CapitaLand is set to partner with Junshan to establish a comprehensive community service hub that integrates commerce, sports, and health services.

WEDZ has organized over 10 cultural activities at various locations since June, including Wuhan Shanshan Outlets, Wuhan University of Technology Junshan Campus, and Shamao Street.

Authorities are committed to sustaining this momentum by focusing on residents' needs and launching more relatable, engaging activities that foster the integration of culture and consumption.
