The Dajunshan technology commercialization center was launched on May 19 at the Junshan Campus of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
The center is designed to harness innovative resources from HUST and other institutions, focusing on areas such as new energy, intelligent connected vehicles, and advanced materials.
It aims to modernize traditional industries, nurture emerging sectors, and set the stage for future industrial development by creating a seamless pathway from concept validation to industrialization.
Central to the center's mission is aligning high-value technological innovations with market demands and delivering precise, efficient services that accelerate technological breakthroughs and commercialization.
It also plans to assemble a team of top-tier technology managers dedicated to facilitating the commercialization of scientific advancements.
WEDZ has long championed technological innovation, including efforts to establish the HUST Junshan Campus. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the zone saw a doubling of innovation platforms, a tripling of R&D investments, a fourfold increase in high-tech enterprises, and a fivefold rise in high-level talent.
WEDZ is committed to developing a collaborative innovation ecosystem characterized by enterprise-driven problem-setting, research-driven solutions, government support, and market validation.
