Jianghan University unveiled its college for excellent engineers on May 9, bringing together representatives from 16 universities and 15 enterprises, along with faculty and students, to discuss the college's strategic plans, focus on industry-education integration, and talent development initiatives.
The college will adopt an "industry-education integration, school-enterprise collaboration" training model, designed to cultivate high-level, application-oriented engineering and technology professionals. It will concentrate on key areas such as modern chemical engineering, advanced materials, and electronic information.
A distinctive feature of the college is its project-driven, alternating work-study training model, in which students complete theoretical coursework in their first year, followed by project-based practice and research with partner companies from the second year onward.
