Wuhan-made vehicles, components shine at Beijing International Automotive Exhibition

Over 50 vehicle and component manufacturers from Wuhan, including Dongfeng Motor, Voyah, and Lotus Cars, showcased more than 30 vehicles at the 2026 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, which opened on April 24.

Dongfeng Motor presented 26 flagship products, 13 pioneering technologies, and a brand-new concept car. The company also announced a five-year plan targeting high-quality development, aiming for global sales of 5 million vehicles by 2030, with over 70 percent being new energy vehicles and 40 percent intended for overseas markets.

Eighteen automotive component enterprises, such as Versigent, Siengine Technology, and iFlytek, also showcased cutting-edge technologies and products, highlighting the latest innovations in the industry.

Versigent, a global leader in automotive technology and a former division of Aptiv's Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS), debuted at the exhibition with several innovative displays, including a smart factory model and AI harness design solutions.

Siengine Technology, a pioneer in high-performance automotive-grade chips in China, introduced two groundbreaking chips. Baidu Apollo and iFlytek also set up booths to showcase their advancements in intelligent driving algorithms, automotive-grade chips, and cockpit AI solutions.

Valeo presented a series of integrated systems, featuring a breakthrough headlamp system and color ultra-high-definition laser projection technology.
