Gregoire Olivier, head of Stellantis Asia-Pacific, visited Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) on April 20 to have discussions with Huang Yong, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and Liu Ziqing, Party Secretary of the WEDZ administrative committee.

The talks focused on accelerating project implementation, expanding global markets, and elevating the global presence of "Made in Wuhan" vehicles.

Stellantis, the world's fourth-largest automaker, includes prestigious brands such as Peugeot, Citroen, and Jeep. Stellantis and Dongfeng established Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën Automobile Co (DPCA) in WEDZ in 1992, creating one of China's earliest automotive joint ventures.

A WEDZ delegation traveled to France and Italy for investment promotion activities from April 13 to 17. During their visit, they met with Stellantis executives, including Peugeot Global CEO Linda Jackson and Citroen CEO Vincent Cobee, to gain insights into Stellantis' global strategy and development.

Liu expressed optimism that Stellantis would utilize its extensive global networks and resources to deepen its cooperation with WEDZ.

Olivier affirmed Stellantis' commitment to partnering with Dongfeng to accelerate the transition to new energy vehicles, expand product offerings, and explore new markets.

Huang highlighted Dongfeng's focus on high-end, intelligent, and green development, underscoring the importance of strengthening cooperation with Stellantis to seize emerging opportunities in new energy and intelligent connected vehicles.
