Dongfeng Yipai Automotive Technology Co, a leading force in Dongfeng Motor's passenger and new energy vehicle sectors, will launch a new facility in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) for the research and development and manufacturing of a new vehicle model.
Yipai Technology has developed a robust value chain that integrates research, production, supply, sales, and service. The company achieved a significant sales milestone in 2025, selling 275,000 units, a 28 percent increase from the previous year.
Sales of new energy vehicles reached 201,000 units during the period, while overseas sales doubled to 90,000 units. In the first quarter of this year alone, Yipai Technology delivered 63,659 vehicles.
Liu Ziqing, Party secretary of the WEDZ administrative committee, underscored WEDZ's dedication to enhancing service support, addressing enterprise needs, and promoting automotive brands and consumer activities to boost Yipai Technology's production and sales.
Wang Junjun, general manager of Yipai, reaffirmed the company's ambition to build a passenger vehicle business capable of producing over 1 million units and generating revenues exceeding 100 billion yuan ($14.64 billion).
Wang added that Yipai Technology plans to integrate into the region's growth strategy by upgrading its factory, expanding its product lineup, and capturing both domestic and international markets.
Zhao Yongqiang, a local official, emphasized WEDZ's commitment to optimizing the business environment, enhancing resource guarantees, and maintaining a consistent communication mechanism to ensure project progress.
