Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) held an automobile promotion event on March 28 in Hanchuan, a county-level city in Xiaogan, Hubei province.
The event showcased premium vehicles from esteemed brands such as Voyah, M-Hero, and Geely — flagship products of the "Made in WEDZ" initiative — offering local consumers the chance to explore, select, and enjoy top-tier vehicles close to home.
Xiaogan, a city rich in historical and cultural heritage with abundant tourism resources, plays a crucial role in the Wuhan metropolitan area and is recognized for its vigorous development momentum.
Hanchuan, often dubbed the land of fish and rice, boasts a strong industrial economy and has ranked among China's top 100 counties for five consecutive years. It is emerging as a pilot area for integrated development within the Wuhan metropolitan circle.
WEDZ shares close geographical and cultural ties with Hanchuan and is collaborating with surrounding regions to establish a major automotive industry base. In December 2025, WEDZ and Hanchuan jointly launched the Auto Valley Industrial Innovation Corridor, further strengthening their industrial synergy and advancing regional development.
The event also featured brand promotions from companies including Dongfeng Honda and Voyah, alongside explanations of consumer voucher policies, offering substantial purchasing incentives to Xiaogan residents.
The event also showcased Xiaogan's specialty agricultural products, facilitated dealer networking and cooperation agreements, and promoted precise production-sales alignment.
