Shenzhen-Hong Kong Automobile Export Express was launched on Dec 22, a pivotal advancement in automotive trade between Guangdong province and Hong Kong.

Dongfeng Motor, a leading player in the Hong Kong market, is among the first Chinese mainland automotive companies approved to participate in this groundbreaking program, showcasing 40 new vehicles at the event.

The initiative aims to streamline cross-border logistics and foster collaboration in the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector between the two regions. It introduces an innovative "pre-arrival review and immediate licensing" model, enabling NEVs to complete Hong Kong import pre-approval and vehicle qualification approval before departing Shenzhen.

Vehicles can swiftly undergo customs clearance and licensing upon arrival in Hong Kong, making them immediately available for consumer use.

The innovative approach significantly reduces the time vehicles spend in Hong Kong, cutting storage and time-related costs by over 70 percent compared to traditional methods. It boosts the efficiency of cross-border trade, enhances responsiveness to market demands in Hong Kong, optimizes supply chain logistics, and improves the user delivery experience.

Dongfeng Motor has seen steady sales growth in the Hong Kong market, earning the trust of local consumers through its robust product lineup and extensive service network. It made a strong impression at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show and Hong Kong Auto Expo.

The company showcased models such as the M-hero I, Dongfeng 007, and Dongfeng GX, highlighting its technological advancements and manufacturing expertise.

The 40 vehicles showcase the company's latest innovations in new energy and smart technology. Dongfeng Motor plans to use this collaboration as a strategic springboard to enter the Southeast Asian market, accelerating its international expansion and strengthening connections between Hong Kong and global users.
