Dongfeng delivers first Mach Power 2.0T flight engine

Dongfeng Motor Corporation has achieved a significant milestone in low-altitude power technology with the delivery of its first Mach Power 2.0T flight engine.

This engine, independently developed by Dongfeng's team, is built upon a mature automotive engine platform and has been upgraded to meet the specific demands of low-altitude flight, enhancing its power, cooling efficiency, and reliability.

The 2.0T flight engine stands out for its high performance, reliability, cost-effectiveness, compact size, and lightweight design. It shares 90 percent of its components with its automotive counterpart and achieves an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 1.87 kilowatt per kilogram.

Designed for large drones, warehouse logistics aircraft, and tiltrotor aircraft, the engine's quick response, lightweight design, and low vibration make it particularly suitable for logistics and emergency missions.

The development team achieved significant technical breakthroughs to ensure the engine adapts to extreme environments. The powertrain has undergone rigorous validation under high-temperature, extreme cold, and high-altitude conditions to meet the stringent safety requirements of the low-altitude economy.
