The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) hosted a supplier meeting with Geely Auto Group on Nov 13. During the event, five leading companies, including Dit Holding, signed agreements to establish operations in the zone, marking a significant step towards creating a more resilient and secure automotive supply chain.

The gathering brought together over 40 of Geely's top suppliers to explore opportunities for value innovation and collaborative growth within the automotive supply chain.

Representatives of WEDZ introduced the zone's robust automotive industry ecosystem, while Geely officials outlined their supply chain collaboration philosophy and procurement needs.

In a major development in September, Geely Auto committed to expanding its investment in WEDZ, including the production of new models such as the Geely Galaxy. This expansion is expected to generate a strong magnetic effect, attracting both upstream and downstream companies to WEDZ and broadening the zone's network of automotive parts suppliers.

Dit Holding, a key participant, specializes in the stamping and welding of automotive body and chassis components, as well as the development and manufacturing of automotive stamping dies.

The company plans to invest in a facility to produce essential components for new energy vehicles, including body panels, chassis structures, and battery boxes, thereby providing critical support to Geely Auto.

WEDZ has prioritized the development of automotive parts alongside complete vehicles. The zone is home to nine vehicle manufacturers, 14 vehicle plants, and over 1,400 automotive parts companies.

WEDZ has targeted key vehicle manufacturers such as Voyah and Geely to strengthen the automotive supply chain. The zone has secured 35 supply chain projects this year, covering vital areas such as power systems and body functional components.
