The 12th Wuhan City Games kicked off on Oct 25 in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), marking the first time the dynamic zone has hosted the event.

The City Games, held every four years, are Wuhan's largest and most influential comprehensive sports event.

One of the highlights was the opening ceremony, which captivated audiences with a stunning artistic performance that blended Yangtze River culture with the unique characteristics of Wuhan.

This presentation also celebrated the remarkable 34-year development journey of WEDZ, recognized as "China's Auto Valley".

WEDZ is home to 10 automobile manufacturers, 14 vehicle plants, and over 1,000 parts suppliers, with an impressive annual production exceeding 1 million vehicles.

The China Auto Valley Brand Operation Center outside the sports venue also showcased nearly 20 new energy vehicles, including the 2026 Voyah Dream and the new Voyah Free. To enhance the experience, automotive consumption vouchers were distributed.

WEDZ officials highlighted that hosting the games presents a valuable opportunity to further promote the development of sports, strengthen the sports economy, and accelerate the city's transformation through sports.
