Dongfeng Motor is making significant strides in the European market, with a remarkable performance in the first nine months of this year.
The company sold 48,000 vehicles in Europe, with new energy vehicles (NEVs) accounting for over 58 percent of these sales, according to Yang Qing, chairman of Dongfeng, at the 2025 China-Nordic Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum.
The company's success is largely driven by its shift towards electrification, intelligence, and connectivity. It currently offers a comprehensive range of intelligent connected NEVs, with more than 50 models currently available.
The diverse brand lineup includes M-Hero, which focuses on luxury electric off-road vehicles with models such as the M917 and M817, and Voyah, which aims to lead the high-end NEV passenger car market with models, including the Dream, Passion, and Free.
Voyah and M-Hero have entered markets in Norway, Denmark, and Finland, with plans to enter all five Nordic countries by 2026. Models such as the Free, Passion, and M917 have been well-received by local consumers.
The company's success in the Nordic market is attributed to its vehicles' adaptability to local conditions. For example, the Dongfeng Nammi 01, with compact size and spacious interior, makes it ideal for Europe's narrow streets and urban commuting needs.
Voyah made its international debut in Norway, tailoring its vehicles to European users by developing a European version of its car system and integrating local ecosystem applications.
The brand has also partnered with multiple charging station operators in Europe to ensure compatibility and efficiency in various environments, enhancing user convenience.
