A dispatch ceremony for the Dongfeng Motor shipment to Uzbekistan took place on Aug 22 at Khorgos Port in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

Located 305 kilometers from Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest city, Khorgos acts as a vital gateway - connecting markets of 2 billion people in China and ASEAN with 2.4 billion more across Central Asia, West Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Renowned as China's premier western land port, Khorgos is celebrated for its long history, substantial throughput, favorable natural environment, and diverse functionality.

At the Khorgos pre-positioned warehouse, brand-new Dongfeng vehicles made in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) were assembled in preparation for their journey.

These vehicles will travel through the Khorgos port via Kazakhstan, reaching Uzbekistan in approximately 14 days. This pre-positioning approach reduces vehicle delivery time by over 20 days.

Ya Mingjin, deputy general manager of Xinjiang Dongfeng Motor Trading Co, highlighted the Khorgos pre-positioned warehouse as Dongfeng's staging and packaging hub.

The facility boasts a storage capacity exceeding 1,000 vehicles and a daily DKD dismantling and packaging capacity of over 150 vehicles, targeting the Central Asian market.

Xinjiang Dongfeng Motor Trading Co, founded in 2023, plays a crucial role in advancing key industrial chains and promoting automotive trade and logistics development in Xinjiang and Central Asia.
