Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis, led a delegation to the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) on July 30 to explore opportunities for in-depth collaboration.
Both parties engaged in comprehensive discussions, reaffirming their commitment to advancing the transformation and upgrading of the zone's automotive industry.
Stellantis is advancing its electrification strategy, with Stellantis China COO Xin Tianshu and China Market Strategy Leader and Senior Advisor Olivier Bourges having visited the Super Charging and Battery Swapping Service Center in WEDZ on July 21.
This center, the first in Hubei province to feature Huawei's state-of-the-art liquid-cooled supercharging technology, integrates photovoltaics, energy storage, V2G, and municipal electricity into a sophisticated microgrid. This setup allows vehicles to be fully charged in the time it takes to enjoy a cup of coffee.
Antonio Filosa and his team also observed the rapid development of new energy vehicle charging and swapping services, praising the center's cutting-edge technology. Filosa highlighted the remarkable strength and innovation of China's new energy vehicle sector and emphasized Stellantis' commitment to collaborating with Dongfeng Motor and WEDZ.
As a leading global automaker, Stellantis operates over 30 manufacturing facilities worldwide and maintains a presence in more than 130 countries. The company's joint venture with Dongfeng Motor, also known as Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën, is headquartered in WEDZ.
