An oil painting exhibition commenced on June 27 at the Tanghu Museum of Art in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
The exhibition features seven artists who draw inspiration from tradition or borrow from Western art forms, satisfying viewers' visual aesthetic needs while also encompassing analysis and organization of regional art history.
Wang Xinyao, director of the museum, highlighted the exhibition as a reflection on a century of visual art development and a pivotal part of the museum's efforts towards regional art history research and curation.
An artwork donation ceremony also took place, where each of the seven participating artists donated one piece of artwork to the museum.
The exhibition will run until July 14 and is open to the public free of charge.
