The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup China League Wuhan leg began on June 1 at the Wuhan Business University Equestrian Sports Park in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).

This prestigious event has attracted 547 horse-rider combinations from over 60 clubs across 22 provinces and 25 cities in China, as well as international participants from Australia, South Africa, Germany, Jordan, and the Netherlands.

This year's Wuhan leg is the largest international equestrian jumping competition ever held in the city, setting a new record for participant numbers.

Peng Yu, president of Wuhan Business University (WBU), highlighted the institution's pioneering role in equestrian education, having established the country's first undergraduate program in equestrian sports and management. This program has been recognized as a national first-class undergraduate program construction site.

Huang Qifang, vice-president of the FEI, commended Wuhan's excellent facilities and professional organization. "It's wonderful to see so many talented riders gathered here to compete for glory and world ranking points. Hosting the event in Wuhan's development zone was indeed the right decision," Huang remarked.

WBU's indoor venue covers 8,489 square meters and includes over 1,000 fixed spectator seats, along with state-of-the-art facilities. The competition is organized into categories based on obstacle heights, with 10 different events scheduled for the Wuhan leg. The opening day featured individual competitions at 1.00 meters, 1.20 meters, and 1.40 meters.
