On May 20, Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) launched the Hedmos 06, marking the debut of Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Co's (DPCA) first new energy vehicle (NEV) model. This launch underscores DPCA's ambitious foray into the new energy market and reinforces WEDZ's dedication to fostering a high-quality NEV industry.
Responding to the industry's shift towards smart and electric vehicles, DPCA introduced its Hedmos brand in March, heralding a new era in its NEV journey. The brand embodies courage, exploration, perseverance, and integrates Dongfeng's advanced proprietary technologies and intelligent systems.
The Hedmos 06 is an A+ class pure electric intelligent SUV that combines driving performance, spacious comfort, and cutting-edge technology. It offers an impressive range of up to 520 kilometers on a single charge and features the E-CLDRivё intelligent control system, supported by CLDR championship-level chassis tuning and Dongfeng's leading electric technology.
Priced at 125,800 yuan ($17,442), with a special introductory offer of 108,800 yuan, the Hedmos 06 presents an enticing option for consumers seeking innovation and quality.
DPCA is a pioneering joint venture between France's PSA Group (now part of Stellantis Group) and Dongfeng Motor Corporation, making it one of China's earliest automotive collaborations. With production facilities in Wuhan, Xiangyang, and Chengdu, DPCA manages well-known brands like Dongfeng Citroën and Dongfeng Peugeot.
