

iFLYTEK Co, a leader in intelligent voice and AI technologies, has announced a major investment in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
In partnership with Central China Normal University, iFLYTEK has established Hubei Xiaoya Technology Co, which will be headquartered in WEDZ. This initiative aims to advance the commercialization of technological achievements and develop new AI-enhanced educational environments.
In recent years, iFLYTEK has made significant contributions to WEDZ, investing 5 billion yuan ($693.19 million) to build its Central China headquarters, an AI industry acceleration center, and the Central China AI Research Institute. The company has also played a key role in the "WEDZ Smart Education Application" project, employing over 1,800 people in the region, with more than 80 percent engaged in research and development.
At the 2025 World Digital Education Conference, iFLYTEK showcased a suite of innovative AI-driven educational solutions, utilizing its more than two decades of expertise in smart education. A highlight was the Xiaoya Intelligent Teaching Platform, a cloud-integrated hybrid teaching solution for universities.
This platform represents a significant collaboration between iFLYTEK and Central China Normal University in the "AI + Education" sector. With an investment of approximately 500 million yuan, Xiaoya Technology is dedicated to developing, marketing, and operating the platform, with plans to extend its reach to 3,500 universities nationwide.
Liu Qingfeng, chairman of iFLYTEK, emphasized the company's commitment to strengthening its collaboration with WEDZ in artificial intelligence. He highlighted plans to accelerate project development and attract innovative resources and top talent to the area.
