Hubei Cube Energy Technology Co in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) is making remarkable advancements in the hydrogen fuel cell industry. The company's voltage inspectors and humidifiers are set for distribution across China, playing a crucial role in strengthening the domestic hydrogen fuel cell supply chain.
Founded in 2021, Cube Energy is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, production, and technical services of hydrogen fuel cell production line equipment and essential auxiliary components, such as humidifiers and voltage inspectors.
Cube Energy is also a leader in the Balance of Plant (BOP) sector, and these components are critical for ensuring the continuous, stable, and safe operation of fuel cell stacks.
"Our revenue exceeded 6 million yuan ($828,113) in the first quarter of this year, an 82.87 percent increase compared to the previous year," said Hua Zhoufa, general manager of Cube Energy. During this period, the company produced 3,000 voltage inspectors and 300 humidifiers.
This impressive performance is driven by the company's significant investment in research and development. "In 2024, our R&D expenses accounted for 14.8 percent of our total revenue," Hua noted.
Seventy percent of Cube Energy's workforce is engaged in R&D across new energy materials, materials science and engineering, and control engineering. The company has filed 266 patent applications, including 46 for inventions.
Cube Energy is also enhancing collaboration with academic institutions like Wuhan University of Technology to accelerate the development of key components for domestically produced hydrogen fuel cell auxiliary systems.
