Dongfeng Nammi hosted a launch event in Chengdu, Sichuan province, on April 28, to announce the global presale of the Dongfeng Nammi 06.
As Dongfeng Motors' new energy passenger car brand, Dongfeng Nammi plays a pivotal role in the company's strategic transformation towards new energy vehicles. The Dongfeng Nammi 06 is the brand's second mass-produced model.
During the presale, five configurations were introduced, with prices ranging from 89,900 to 119,900 yuan ($16,481). The model secured 11,601 orders within just one hour.
Yang Yanding, general manager of Dongfeng Motors' Strategic Planning Department, highlighted the vehicle's advanced features, including high-speed navigation assistance, city memory navigation assistance, memory parking, track-back reversing, and integrated parking, all made possible by its intelligent technology.
The Dongfeng Nammi 06 also demonstrated impressive super-fast charging capabilities, taking only 18 minutes to charge from 30 percent to 80 percent battery capacity. It features the new generation Dongfeng Maho E powertrain, offering a stable yet powerful driving experience. The vehicle's 3C super-fast charging technology allows an additional 100 kilometers of range with just 5 minutes of charging.
The Dongfeng Nammi 06 is set to make its mark on the global stage, with both left-hand and right-hand driving models developed. "We plan to export the Dongfeng Nammi 06 overseas in the third quarter," said Yu Yuefeng, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Nammi's Marketing Department.
