Fourteen delegates from Wuhan sister cities embarked on a tour of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) on April 24, as part of the 2025 Wuhan International Sister Cities Exchange Week.
Their itinerary included visits to Voyah Automobile Technology Co, the Dongfeng Global Innovation Center, and the exhibition hall of the National New Energy and Intelligent Connected Vehicles Demonstration Zone.
At Voyah Automobile, the delegates explored the flexible production line and test-drove models such as the Voyah FREE 318, the new Voyah Dream, Voyah Courage, and Voyah Passion. Rosy Inus Morukun from Malaysia was effusive in her praise for the vehicle, saying, "This is my dream car."
At the Dongfeng Global Innovation Center, the delegates delved into the detailed history of Dongfeng Motor's development and its latest technological advancements, engaging in test drives of various models. Hannah Cole from Australia's Gold Coast City expressed her aspiration to drive a sleek and intelligent Dongfeng vehicle in her home country.
"This is amazing, very cool!" Within the exhibition hall of the National New Energy and Intelligent Connected Vehicles Demonstration Zone, the delegates became acquainted with the zone's 30-year developmental journey and experienced the Robotaxi.
Andreas Nitchel from Austria, experiencing the Robotaxi for the first time, exuded excitement, saying, "Although it's my first ride, I have full confidence in Chinese technology; it's truly reliable."
The delegates delved into six key areas – commerce, technological innovation, healthcare and education, intelligent manufacturing, international parks, and eco-tourism, to further strengthen cooperation.
