More than 40 Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) companies presented their latest advancements in intelligent vehicle technology at the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition on April 23. Key participants include Dongfeng Motor, Lotus Cars, ZF, and Aptiv.
Dongfeng Motor has introduced its groundbreaking "Tianyuan Intelligent" technology, featuring 26 smart connected new energy vehicles and nine technological exhibits. A highlight of the exhibition is the global debut of Dongfeng M-Terrain Technology's flagship model, the M817. This luxury electric off-road vehicle is the first in China to integrate Huawei's comprehensive intelligent solutions and is among the first to feature the Qian Kun Intelligent Driving HUAWEI ADS 4 system.
Lotus Cars, another major player from WEDZ, has made a significant announcement by granting the automotive industry access to its 77-year legacy of chassis data. Lotus is also showcasing an impressive lineup of vehicles, including the futuristic performance machine Theory1, the world's most expensive electric hypercar Evija, the world's first all-electric hyper-SUV Eletre, and the all-electric supercar sedan Emeya.
ZF, Aptiv, and SiEngine also unveiled their latest smart vehicle technologies, highlighting WEDZ’s transformative innovation power in the automotive sector.
This year's event featured nearly 1,000 prominent companies from 26 countries and regions, showcasing a stunning array of global vehicle premieres and technological advancements.
