Guangzhou Hybot Technology Co recently announced a major milestone: its Wuhan R&D Center, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), unveiled its new-generation H49 high-speed hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck at the 2025 Beijing International Hydrogen Technology and Equipment Exhibition.
The H49 truck, with its bullet-shaped design, features significant technological breakthroughs such as a hydrogen consumption rate of 7.8 kg per 100 km and a range exceeding 1000 km, setting it apart from competitors. Its proprietary cross-domain SOA architecture and intelligent cloud-based OTA updates highlight WEDZ's strong R&D capabilities.
At the exhibition, Hybot signed a strategic agreement with Ameri Group, a leader in Mexico's green energy sector, to introduce customized hydrogen truck solutions onto the Mexican market.
"We will continue to develop and optimize our product line," said Sun Ying, CEO of Hybot. The H49 has passed rigorous tests in extreme conditions and is currently in small-batch delivery, with mass production planned for 2026.
On April 15, hydrogen-powered trucks were operational along the Wuhan-Yichang Expressway, refueling in just 10 minutes and achieving a 400 km range with zero emissions. Thirty trucks, equipped with fuel cells from WEDZ, are active on China's first large-scale hydrogen truck demonstration line.
Nearby, Dongfeng Motor's R&D Institute is testing advanced hydrogen fuel cell systems. Alongside it, WUT HyPower's production line is at full capacity, exporting at reduced costs. WEDZ hosts 21 leading hydrogen companies, including Troowin and Hybot, forming a robust industry and innovation chain.
