The Cross-Border E-Commerce Industrial Park in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) is a hive of activity as construction progresses rapidly. The main structure of this ambitious project is now complete, with operations slated to begin in the first half of next year.

The project, covering 108,000 square meters, is the first of its kind in the zone. It features a cross-border e-commerce R&D incubation center, four standard production facilities, a warehouse, and essential infrastructure, including surrounding roads.

The park aims to attract businesses from across the e-commerce supply chain, promoting integration between cross-border e-commerce and the trade and manufacturing sectors. A local official said this initiative will enable more enterprises to expand their global reach.

The industrial park will offer various functions, including a specialized cross-border logistics and warehousing area with a pre-sorting center for overseas warehouses to expedite the shipment of goods abroad.

"The park will establish a comprehensive center for one-stop services, including government affairs, financial services, and legal consultation, addressing the full spectrum of needs for cross-border e-commerce companies from registration to after-sales," said project manager Chen Hongjie.

An inspection and quarantine center meeting international standards will also be constructed to ensure smooth customs clearance for products worldwide.
