The Lotus Global Intelligent Factory hums with precision in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ). Hundreds of meticulously organized robots perform stamping, welding, and assembly, crafting the sleek and luxurious EMEYA sports sedans destined for markets worldwide.

Lotus has established its presence globally, with a footprint in China, Europe (including the UK), North America, and beyond. Lotus's globalization strategy is gaining impressive momentum, boasting over 200 retail locations in 61 countries and regions. Last year, the company celebrated a global sales milestone of 12,000 units, with December alone accounting for over 2,000 units.

In 2018, Lotus Group unveiled a visionary 10-year brand revival plan, marking a comprehensive shift towards electrification and intelligent technology. By the end of 2020, Lotus had strategically positioned itself in WEDZ, constructing a state-of-the-art intelligent factory and establishing a global smart technology company.

This facility is the world's first to employ 3D digital twin technology for planning, design, and construction across all production processes. Its highly flexible production lines can swiftly switch to produce up to 96 different model configurations, allowing for bespoke customization to meet discerning customers' desires.

A Lotus representative highlighted the efficiency of their operations, noting that the time from customer deposit to vehicle delivery is controlled within six to eight weeks, surpassing the industry average by more than threefold. "Customers can even track the placement of their chosen vehicle components via an app, offering a truly personalized vehicle for each individual."

Since its establishment in WEDZ, Lotus has strengthened industrial collaboration with local enterprises. Several automotive parts companies have joined Lotus's supply chain, achieving an industry-leading localization rate of 60 percent.
