On March 7, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Co (DPCA) signed an agreement to establish a production base for the Dongfeng Nammi new energy vehicle model in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
This new project is a collaborative effort between Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Co and DPCA. It encompasses model research and development, production line construction, and market promotion.
DPCA, one of China's earliest automotive joint ventures, has already established three major production bases in Wuhan, Xiangyang, and Chengdu. It operates under the brands Dongfeng Citroën, Dongfeng Peugeot, and Dongfeng Fukang.
As Dongfeng Motor's first domestic pure electric brand, Dongfeng Nammi has made a strong market debut, achieving monthly sales exceeding 10,000 units and ranking among the industry's top four.
The Dongfeng Nammi 06 is an A0-class SUV designed for versatile use. It features Dongfeng Motor's self-developed Mach E power platform, Dongfeng Quantum Architecture, and the "Zhihan" thermal management system. It is set to launch in the second quarter of this year.
