WEDZ launches consumption season

The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) launched a consumption season on Feb 9. 

This festive period, which runs until Feb 12, features traditional food stalls, lantern markets, interactive parades, anime performances, classic children's theater, trendy sports experiences, bubble starry rooms, and outdoor movies. 

Prominent enterprises from real estate, finance, cultural tourism, hospitality, and healthcare showcased their offerings during the event. Major home appliance brands like Gree, Midea, and Haier held sales exhibitions, while renowned car brands such as Voyah and Lotus, all manufactured within WEDZ, made a striking appearance. 

Each participating car brand provided additional purchase subsidies, offering consumers significant incentives. These included comprehensive discounts exceeding 50,000 yuan ($6,842.74) on all Dongfeng models. 

WEDZ has been promoting consumption and stabilizing growth by establishing the Brand Operations Center and distributing 100 million yuan worth of automotive consumption vouchers. It has also continuously conducted large-scale automotive promotional tours, effectively boosting the popularity and sales of WEDZ-produced new energy vehicles at home and abroad.

Several companies, including the Hubei Convention and Exhibition Industry Association, Gree Electric Appliances (Hubei) Sales Co, and Yum China Investment Co, have also signed agreements to join the Brand Operations Center.
