The fourth session of the 10th Hannan Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held on Dec 29 in Hannan district.
A total of 134 CPPCC Hannan committee members gathered in the meeting hall to discuss the committee's achievements and future direction.
The three-day session started with the rousing sounds of the Chinese national anthem. Then, Xu An, chairman of the 10th CPPCC Hannan Committee, reviewed the committee's work over the past year.
The CPPCC Hannan committee focuses on unity and democracy. Over the past five years, it has significantly contributed to local economic development and maintained social stability.
Xu added that under the guidance of the central, provincial, and municipal governments, the CPPCC Hannan committee will continue to play an important role in political consulting and help transform the district into a car manufacturing hub.
