The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) has recently added eight new technology pilot platforms to its roster, as announced by the Wuhan municipal science and technology bureau in their proposed list for 2024.
One of the standout additions is the "Wuhan Seed Identity Gene Identification Technology Pilot Platform" from Jianghan University. This platform has pioneered a series of DNA fingerprinting technologies, including Multi-Nucleotide Polymorphism (MNP) markers, addressing the need for practical, precise, and efficient DNA identification methods.
Another notable platform is the "Wuhan Diamond Tool Pilot Platform" established by Wuhan Wanbang Laser Diamond Tools Co. This platform features comprehensive testing and pilot lines for cutting, drilling, grinding, friction wear performance, and raw material inspection of diamond tools. It offers professional and customized pilot solutions tailored to various scenarios.
In recent years, WEDZ has built 22 pilot platforms and spearheaded the formation of Wuhan's first pilot platform service alliance, which has provided over 50 R&D and pilot services to major companies such as Dongfeng and Huawei.
