On Dec 12, Tri Waters New Energy Technology Co signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) to establish a green intelligent ship production base on the left bank of the Yangtze River.

This initiative marks a significant step in WEDZ's efforts to extend its new energy industry from intelligent electric vehicles to green intelligent ships.

According to the agreement, Tri Waters will build its Central China headquarters, Wuhan R&D Center, and new energy ship manufacturing ecosystem in three phases in WEDZ. It will also construct its Hubei Green Intelligent Ship Manufacturing Demonstration Base, which includes smart factories for shipbuilding and emergency equipment.

The ultimate goal is to establish a complete industrial chain base for green, intelligent inland ships. By 2029, the project is expected to produce 300 new ships and retrofit 100 old ships annually.

Tri Waters will use its strengths in new energy ship R&D, design, and manufacturing to spearhead retrofit projects. This includes leasing and upgrading the Wuhan Channel Shipyard to construct ship assembly and outfitting production lines.  Tri Waters will promote the green and intelligent upgrade of inland ships through a "dismantle to build" approach.

Tri Waters, a subsidiary of the renowned Wuhu Shipyard Co, is the country's first tech company dedicated to the R&D, design, manufacturing, and promotion of green, intelligent inland ships. It focuses on the entire industrial chain development of new energy ships along rivers and coastal areas.

Tri Waters has developed a series of standardized, intelligent green vessels and an AI-powered smart shipping platform to enhance connectivity among people, cargo, ships, and ports.
