The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) and China Dongfeng Motor Industry Imp & Exp Co signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Dec 13.
The partnership will facilitate the export of more Dongfeng vehicles from the Comprehensive Bonded Area, boosting the quality and efficiency of the zone's export-oriented economy.
Dongfeng Motor Industry Imp & Exp Co, a specialized foreign trade company under Dongfeng Motor Corporation, focuses on overseas vehicles. From January to November, it exported 62,000 vehicles, a 53-percent increase year over year.
During the signing ceremony, Dongfeng Motor Industry Imp & Exp Co representatives provided an overview of their business development and highlighted areas where they require support.
Issues raised included enhancing international logistics services within the province, increasing year-end export tax rebates, and attracting foreign trade professionals. Provincial, municipal, and district officials responded to these concerns with specific solutions.
Liu Ziqing, WEDZ's Party secretary, emphasized that the zone will continue to build platforms, promote exchanges, expand channels, and strengthen services. Targeted policies to support vehicle exports, such as establishing the Dongfeng China-Europe freight train, will also be introduced.
Tang Chao, director of the WEDZ administrative committee, stated that WEDZ will further enhance resource guarantees, focus on attracting and nurturing high-end talent, and establish a regular communication mechanism.
