To celebrate Dongfeng Motor's 55th Anniversary, Wuhan Auto Renewal Consumer Season launched its tour in Huangpi district on Nov 9, marking the first stop of a city-wide event to boost the automotive industry and cultural tourism.
The event showcased an impressive lineup of Dongfeng vehicles, including the Voyah Free, the Voyah Dream, M-Hero 917, and eπ 007.
The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), Dongfeng Motor, and Huangpi district signed cooperation agreements to deepen the integration of the automotive industry with cultural tourism.
The event offered citizens the opportunity to explore high-quality vehicles from WEDZ and enjoy vibrant local cultural performances, such as Huangpi Drums and Chu Opera.
Hao Bo, senior director of Dongfeng Zhuolian Automobile Service Co, presented the national and provincial policies on vehicle trade-in incentives and WEDZ's consumer voucher policy.
Since the launch of the Wuhan Auto Renewal Consumer Season at the end of October, over 400,000 physical vouchers have been distributed, resulting in more than 6,000 vehicle orders.
As of early November, participating dealers in the Wuhan Auto Renewal Consumer Season had sold 4,470 new vehicles, a 67-percent increase year-on-year.
The tour will continue in 10 districts across Wuhan. Its aim is to enhance the brand recognition and market share of WEDZ-made vehicles and tap into consumer potential.
