The Wuhan Auto Culture and Tourism Consumption Season kicked off on Oct 25 at the Hankou Waterfront in Jianghan district, Wuhan.

Over the coming week, the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) will partner with automotive brands such as Dongfeng Motor and Lotus NYO to host exciting events, including car exhibitions, live-streamed car sales, and test drives.

At the opening ceremony, Liu Ziqing, Party secretary of the WEDZ working committee, noted that everyone is welcome to visit WEDZ and ride in autonomous vehicles, watch car races, and purchase WEDZ-made vehicles.

Liu added that WEDZ aims to promote automotive culture and share compelling automotive stories. In collaboration with Dongfeng, the zone is preparing substantial incentives, including cash vouchers, to encourage residents to trade in old vehicles for new ones.

Prominent WEDZ-made brands such as Dongfeng M-Hero, Dongfeng Voyah, Dongfeng Honda, Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan, Dongfeng Peugeot, and Lotus NYO were showcased at the event, drawing significant attention from attendees.

During the event, Dongfeng Motor signed cooperation agreements with the Caidian, Jiangxia, Huangpi, and Xinzhou districts to establish Dongfeng Auto Mall direct-sale stores, which will provide residents with comprehensive, one-stop car purchasing services.

The WEDZ cultural and tourism bureau awarded several designations to industrial tourism sites. These included the M-Hero Technology Smart Park, Lotus Global Smart Factory, Voyah Smart Park, and the Wuhan Intelligent Connected Vehicle Testing Ground.

Chen Jie, deputy general manager of Geely Mitime Group, announced the Wuhan International Circuit's 2025 international events.

WEDZ is home to automotive culture and tourism attractions such as Xuanyuan Bookstore, M-Hero Off-Road Park, Longling Mountain RV Camp, and Central China's first F2-grade international racetrack.
