Conference on BDS applications opens in WEDZ

The conference on BDS applications, also known as the 13th China GNSS & LBS Annual Conference, will be held in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone from Sept 11 to 13. 

Organized by the GNSS & LBS Association of China and WEDZ, the conference will focus on promoting large-scale Beidou applications and empowering new quality productive forces. 

The event will bring together academicians, experts in satellite navigation and related fields from across the country, and representatives from research institutions, universities, and leading industry enterprises. 

These experts will gather to discuss the pathways for large-scale Beidou applications in leading high-quality industrial development and provide intellectual support for the industrialization, marketization, and internationalization of Beidou applications. 

The conference will feature integrated application technology solutions for communication, navigation, and remote sensing spatiotemporal information, with forums and industry roundtable meetings centered on new technologies, new developments, and new trends in the industry. 

The conference will also release the 2024 China Beidou Industry Development Index, host an innovation and entrepreneurship competition, present awards, and hold investment matchmaking activities. 

WEDZ, home to over 100 enterprises in the Beidou industry chain, will collaborate with the GNSS & LBS Association of China to hold a symposium on Beidou industry development, sign strategic cooperation agreements, and conduct high-level industry matchmaking.

The Beidou Navigation Satellite System, independently developed and operated by China, is a global satellite navigation system capable of providing positioning, navigation, and timing services worldwide.
