On Aug 15, Wuhan Keqi Industrial Technology Co delivered a smart manufacturing upgrade facility to Anhui Ruiqi Auto Parts Co, a core supplier to Chery Automobile. The facility was developed using Keqi's self-developed industrial internet platform.
Established in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) in 2006, Keqi is a high-tech enterprise specializing in industrial informatization, software development, and data center construction. It serves many clients, including Dongfeng Honda, Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Motor Corporation Passenger Vehicle Co, and Winner Medical.
To address logistical challenges such as low warehouse space utilization, difficulty locating items, slow shipping and returns, coarse traceability, and slow response times at Valeo's Wuhan factory, Keqi implemented its proprietary industrial internet platform to build an intelligent logistics integration system.
This system digitized and automated the entire logistics process, including storage, picking, transportation, and material management. Due to the success of this smart upgrade project, Valeo's Wuhan factory was designated a Valeo Global Benchmark Factory in 2023.
Yao Liangjun, chairman of Keqi, said his company has been setting informatization standards for vehicle manufacturers since 2011 and has gradually developed its own solutions. It has fully realized independent development, and almost all of its industrial software possesses independent intellectual property rights.
In July 2022, Keqi invested 20 million yuan ($2.80 million) to establish a digital incubator. It spans over 3,000 square meters and can simultaneously incubate up to 50 tech innovation enterprises.
Keqi has also partnered with Wuhan University of Science and Technology and renowned robotics manufacturers to establish the Intelligent Manufacturing Research Center, which will focus on core technologies and solutions in intelligent manufacturing.
