The Expo Central China 2024 was open to the public at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center from June 1 to 2. Among the many cutting-edge technologies from Hubei on display were the luxurious electric off-road vehicle M-Hero 917 and the sleek all-electric sports car Lotus Emeya, both of which were manufactured in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.

This year's expo covered an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, with provinces in Central China showcasing their advantageous industries and advanced technologies. Products from 32 countries and regions, including the United States, Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and Hong Kong, were also featured.

The M-Hero 917 was unveiled on April 28 last year and was officially launched on September 17 of the same year. Batches of the vehicles have already been exported to Russia, the Middle East, Norway, and other regions.

On January 17 of this year, the Lotus Emeya all-electric sports car was officially launched. With a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.78 seconds and a top speed of 256 km/h, it has redefined the luxury electric sedan market.

Automobiles are Hubei's pillar industry, and over the first quarter of this year, the province reported a stunning 109-percent growth in new energy vehicle production, which is 81 percentage points higher than the national average.
