Wuhan Haier Water Heater Co, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, has fully automated production lines at its factory. On one of them, six robotic arms connected to the workbench move up and down, while only one person is standing by to supervise the machine.
Through intelligent transformation, this production line churns out one component every 12.5 seconds, which is a 37-percent increase in efficiency. With a significant improvement in production efficiency, the overseas order volume for heating furnaces has surpassed 30,000 this year, a surge of 130 percent.
Current heating furnace products on the market not only can heat water but can also be used for floor heating, making them more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly compared to traditional electric water heaters and gas water heaters.
Before the National Day holiday, a Russian sales delegation of more than 10 people visited the factory and was amazed by its intelligent production line. Haier's heating furnace products are exported in large quantities overseas every year, with 80 percent of them going to the Russian market.
In 2004, Wuhan Haier Water Heater Co was established in the zone, focusing on the production and R&D of household and commercial electric water heaters and heating furnaces. In 2021, it was recognized as a national high-tech enterprise.
"With this momentum, the company's sales revenue is expected to exceed 400 million yuan (55.72 million) this year," said a manager of the firm. Over the first nine months of this year, they have already achieved an output equal to that of last year, and the annual production capacity of the factory is expected to grow by 50 percent.
