On Feb 17, Dongfeng Brose Automotive Systems Co resumed operations, with 14 production lines operating at full capacity and over 90 percent of the staff returning to work.

In January this year, the company received orders for 70,000 transmission motors alone, marking a 133-percent year-on-year increase.

Located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), Dongfeng Brose is a Sino-German joint venture company that specializes in the production of transmission motors, window regulators, window motors, and cooling fan assemblies. It serves as a core supplier to over 20 automotive brands and has been recognized as a national-level specialized and sophisticated little giant enterprise.

In 2018, the company's state-of-the-art factory, with a total investment of 500 million yuan ($69.65 million), was put into operation in Wuhan.

In 2023, the company achieved a revenue of 530 million yuan. According to Gao Hong, the general manager of Dongfeng Brose, the company's sales revenue in January this year reached 65 million yuan, setting a new record.

Three years ago, based on the assessment of trends in the automotive industry and the company's actual situation, Dongfeng Brose shifted its focus from traditional business categories to specialized and refined core segments, thus continuously enhancing its localized R&D capabilities.

In order to ensure product quality, technicians at Dongfeng Brose's research and development center, located meters away from the production workshop, took turns working throughout the Spring Festival.
