The WEDZ Automobile Parts Investment Conference was held in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) on Sept 25. During the event, the China New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Spare Part Manufacturing Base was inaugurated and the Hubei Changjiang Auto Valley Industrial Investment Fund was launched.
In his speech, Liu Ziqing, secretary of the zone's working committee, stated that in the face of automotive electrification, intelligentization, and connectivity, WEDZ is committed to the development of an innovation ecosystem for NEVs and intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs). Entrepreneurs are welcome to invest in the zone to jointly create an integrated and symbiotic automotive supply chain ecosystem.
Zhang Zutong, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Motor Co, said that the current automotive supply system is evolving from a chain into a network. Dongfeng hopes to deepen cooperation with more auto component providers, continuously strengthening the resilience and security of China's automotive industrial and supply chains.

VOYAH, Lotus, and Dongfeng Mengshi signed cooperation agreements with several automotive part suppliers, and agreements for eight investment projects were inked at the event.
