On Sept 19, at a municipal-level technology transfer activity, the Wuhan Pilot Platform Alliance for Achievements Transformation was unveiled.
The alliance is guided by the Wuhan Science and Technology Bureau, led by the Future Technology Innovation Research Institute of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), and jointly initiated by more than 50 member units, including local research institutes and technology companies.
The pilot platform serves as a key link between technological innovation and industry and is seen as the "last mile" for the successful transformation of sci-tech achievements. The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone has closely collaborated with universities, research institutions, and enterprises to develop the pilot platforms, promoting the deep integration of industrial and innovation chains.
The Future Technology Innovation Research Institute of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone was co-built by the zone and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, focusing on industries such as intelligent manufacturing, new materials, new energy, and digital economy.
Li Jianghua, head of the alliance, said that the alliance aims to be a non-profit cooperative organization focusing on conceptual verification, pilot-scale production, enterprise incubation and cultivation, technological application, and technical services and consultations.
