Dongfeng Mahle Thermal Systems, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone and founded in 2004, has established a leading domestic multi-functional R&D center.

With an experienced research team, the company has developed an independent research and development system for products such as cabin and powertrain thermal management systems.

Over the first half of this year, the company's operating income increased by 20 percent compared to the same period last year, and its new energy vehicle (NEV) orders accounted for more than 50 percent of its total orders. The company has been gradually shifting from conventional vehicles to new energy vehicles.

The cabin thermal management system developed by the firm is not only energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, but also has a higher energy conversion efficiency. "Our independently developed direct heat pump 3.0 can increase the vehicle's range by 15 percent," explained a worker at Dongfeng Mahle. The company led the drafting of China's automotive radiator standards and holds 32 invention patents and 46 utility patents.

Dongfeng Mahle is currently constructing assembly centers in Zhengzhou, Langfang, Qingdao, and Xi'an and consolidating the production base for commercial vehicle products in Shiyan to enhance cost competitiveness and service capabilities.
