The special session for the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) first China Graduate Education Congress was held at the zone on July 5.
Twenty-one project agreements were signed, including those between Tsinghua University and Dongfeng Motor Corporation Technical Center, Nanjing University, and Wuhan environmental protection bureau.
The event was attended by representatives from over 10 universities, including Hebei University of Technology, China University of Petroleum, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as well as senior members and representatives from 20 significant local enterprises.

The region has seen significant growth in the number of skilled individuals moving in over the past year. In 2019, approximately 22,000 college graduates were drawn to the area, along with 31 academicians and experts, 350 specialists receiving government allowances, nearly 1,600 doctors, and a whopping 179,000 technicians and professionals. This influx of talented individuals is sure to have a positive impact on the local economy and workforce.
