On the evening of June 16, the 2023 Wuhan international shopping season was unveiled in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
Melissa J. Lan, consul general of the Consulate General of the United States of America in Wuhan, attended the event.
During the second half of this year, auto-making giant Dongfeng is set to hold more than 20 car exhibitions and sales promotion activities in 17 regions of China. In addition, Dongfeng also initiated the Dongfeng auto-new retail sales partner campaign with the Hubei Electric Car Circulation Association.
VOYAH, Mengshi, Dongfeng Honda, Xpeng, and other automotive brands were promoted at the venue. Five areas were established for intangible cultural heritage, automobiles produced in WEDZ, local snacks and dishes, and outdoor experiences.

The season is scheduled to last until June 30. During the period, the Hubei government is set to issue 300 million yuan ($42.3 million) of home appliance shopping coupons and 400 million yuan of cultural and tourist coupons. Banks are expected to issue 50 billion yuan of individual loans with discounted interests.
