The Wuhan city promotion conference was hosted in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, on May 8-9. During the conference, the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) signed agreements for five major projects in medical equipment, unmanned instrumental cars, artificial intelligence-assisted car training services, and visual research.

Tang Chao, director of WEDZ's administrative committee, joined the event with other distinguished industry leaders and visited the headquarters of Xpeng – an emerging new energy automotive maker in China.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is one of the most robust economic regions and has the highest level of opening-up in the country. It is also an important business partner of Wuhan.

On May 8, China Resources (Holdings) Co – a Fortune 500 company – worked again with the zone. The China Resources Pharmaceutical Group Ltd, owned by the corporation, will cooperate strategically with the zone by operating four businesses, including healthcare and medical equipment.

ISA Wuhan International School – the most significant international education project in Central China – located in WEDZ, is the largest international study project invested in by Guangzhou Lian Guan Investment Group Co. In the future, the group will add 3 billion yuan ($434 million) of investment in the project to make the school a regional and even a national benchmark in international education.
