Yang Jun and Wu Liuning are two outstanding technicians from Dongfeng Motor Co, based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), who were selected as Great National Craftsmen.
A total of 100 such talents from all over China were selected to go into the Great National Craftsmen cultivation program, which was organized by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).
This program was established in a bid to build a devoted, skilled and creative talent team for China. Talents involved in the program will be prioritized in resources, team building, and project undertaking.
Committed to engine testing and R&D for 28 years, Yang Jun has collected rich experiences, and helped Dongfeng to hone and refine its Mach Power products.
The research team led by Yang Jun has expanded from six to more than 60 researchers now, and has overcome many technical hurdles. The team has ensured that engines that are independently developed in China can be churned out at a large scale, creating huge profits.
