The electric drive system, a core component of new energy vehicles (NEVs), is vital to a car's dynamic performance, safety and comfort.
The iD2 electric drive system used by VOYAH Dreamer has an eight-layer hair-pin motor which can effectively raise the systematic efficiency and enhance the motor's stability. It was independently developed by Dongfeng Motor Co based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
Dongfeng began its research on the hair-pin motor in 2017 and has since become a leading manufacturer able to produce the hair-pin motor on a large scale, with the annual output reaching 200,000 hair-pin motor sets. The automation rate of the production line has exceeded 95 percent, only requiring three technicians.
The iD2-120、iD2-160、iD2-200 hair-pin motors have now all achieved mass production.
