After three months of trial operation, the second phase of the Wuhan Metro Line 16 is estimated to open to the public at the end of this month, according to local news reports on Dec 9.
The second phase includes the construction of two stations – the Shamao Station and Tonghang Airport Station, and has a total length of 4.22 kilometers.
Now all the facilities and equipment involved in ticket selling, security check, and customer services are put in place.
The second phase will serve employees and residents living around two industrial parks of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone.
